10: ENGLISH LANGUAGE CHALLENGES

Hi everyone!

Today i will speak about my experience with the English, it language is so difficult for me.

Well, when I was eleven years old I loved the English and like in my school this language was super basic, I ask for my mother if she can register in a institute of English, and she did.

I learned the basic but it was so difficult for me, in spite of my effort. over the years I began to dislike the language, I even preferred to start learning Korean to Japanese, never achieve it anyway.

When I found out that I would have English in college, it was horrible even more to be in English II.
But i think that it hadn`t be so terribly, and the blog’s idea is so interesting, I have learning new vocabulary, although I don’t know if I have progressing my grammar.

Really I like write in the blog. 

Over the years I think that I need improve, so much, the speaking and listening, because I can read a book or text in English but I can`t understand when the people speak me.

I think if I see movies in english with subtitle in english maybe I improve this. But it usually bored me.
In my life I feel that it language isn’t important, but I know that I need this language if I want to travel to other country, or for read book and/or review of sciences. 

Outside to the class I don’t use the English more that the spanglish or in a new game play which use a lot for 15 minutes in the weekends

9: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hi everyone!

Today i will tell you, about to changes that I could my programme career.

I am study biochemistry and I course the second years, maybe it is few years, but I feel that it has pass so much time. I inter with the new curriculum of this programme.

Like my companies and I are the first with the new curriculum, we feel like rates of laboratory.

I think that this new curriculum included very much course about to investigation area I think, personally, that It was ignored a few the environment area, for example, today we haven’t physiology and anatomy vegetal that It had in the old curriculum, and for this reason I took Botanic.

Other thing that I could changes is the communication inter course, for example in the laboratory of organic the teacher answered about the spectrum in all report, while in the organic we had not saw the spectrum until the finish of the course. For this I think that the teacher need speak among them what the lesson need for each course and order the lesson together. It happened more in the course the laboratory with its theoretical course.

Respect to the infrastructure I think that need more place whit roof, for example the classroom’s hall haven’t roof, and in the winter, when rain, before to test  sometimes the teacher say: “Plis, wait out, we call you” and we all waited out, somebodies have yours umbrella but other not.  Also need more table and chair for sit to eat.

8: SUMMER HOLIDAYS

  

Hi everyone!

Today I will tell you that i will do in the summer or what are my plans for this summer.

Really, my plans are very boring; I will work all the summer.

I need buy a new telephone because my smartphone is dead down a big book and now I am incommunicado with my family, whose are in region, but a friend lend me her old smartphone for it. Also, I should pay the enrolment of the university the next year.

I think go to my house, in Rancagua, and I think search job in a mall or the big shop as Falabella or Ripley.

But, if I haven’t need of work, I would like travel to the south or the beach with my boyfriend, I like so much the green place, In special in Pichilemu, I now a forest very beautiful that you see all the beach, from Punta de Lobos until the finish of Pichilemu, also I like so much go to the Bucalemu, but to go over the country, really are place so beautiful in Chile that there are so much people that not know.

Other place that I would like go is Lota, I knew this place, about to the three year and I felt that I stayed in the outside the Chile or maybe in the other time. I think that place so wonderful how the Isidora Cousiño’s Parks is similar to the paradise.

7: PETS

Hi everyone!

Today I will speak about to my pets, that I love them so much.

I have two pets, they are Luna and Lucy, both are dogs.

Luna is an old dog, I think that it has ten or more years old, It arrived to our house (family house), when my sister have around four or five years old, because in this time our lost a female dog, that my sister loved so much, and our Nana in this time give us the Luna.

Lucy is really same as children, It arrived our house when I am course fourth grade of the high school, maybe it was a present of birthday of my sister, but I think that it a miracle, It went find in the street around to the winter, and how my mother research a dog for my sister a woman said ”Look I found this dog, Do you want?” My mother saw and thinks that little doggy is very beautiful and said “yes, I want this little dog”. I remember that when I arrive to house my sister and my mother saw me stranger and I saw everywhere and found a box whit a blanket and after I saw my sister and She had in his hand a little brown dog.

I don´t believe that somebody can fire this doggy in the street.

Now, in the university I don’t see so much, but I miss them, I feel that are the very good company for my family and me. I love play whit them and they make me happy when I arrive to my house and they leave moving their tail and Lucy Jump.

6: POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

Hello everyone!

Today I will talk to you about studies of postgraduate courses that I would like to make in the future.

When I had to decide which University to attend, I inclined to the University of Chile since I wanted to have the opportunity to graduate, although I must admit that today I start to doubt whether I really want to continue studying after finishing the race However, this is something that really I'd like to make in the future.

Personally, I like a lot of the environmental area, so I would like to make perhaps a master's degree in environmental biochemistry that taught the University of Chile. I feel that with this knowledge could help nature, and be able to contribute something, to solve the major environmental problems that has created the human being, such as the problem of plastic and other industrial chemicals. However, another area that strikes me rather is the biochemistry of proteins, since all live it this compound or need protein to live, and in this area to search certain specialization in evolution. They are perhaps different approaches from the other, but I am still about four years to decide.

I think that to continue studies after the undergraduate should afford me them I, therefore, I would that these courses of environmental Biochemistry and protein, were evening, which would allow me to work during the day and be able to study during the "night".

5: MY FUTURE JOB

Hi everyone, again...

This time i will speak about to my future job… or what do I want job in the future?

As you should know, I study biochemistry, in resume I will be scientific, and I want to work in the environmental area, maybe in the industrial or other area, but I feel that in the environmental area I can help more the plant as in other area.

My dream is work in a laboratory near to my house and that it will be mine, work in different project that help the ecologic to the planet, for example the disposable bags that disintegrate quickly. 

I will like travel so much, but make investigation or doing talks about the project developed in the laboratory, I will like, too, do class in the school and developed workshops where the children can experiment and make scientific ideas. I believe that science is not exclusive to scientists, and they or we, need more communication whit the society, and I think that the near with the children is help to bring science to society. 

About to the salary I am content with I have enough to live, maybe a like more, but I don’t want big fleshpots, I just want to help make the world a better place, helping from the ecology.

4: THEMATIC POST - NATIONAL HOLIDAYS (SEPTEMBER 18th)

Hi everyone,

Today i will speak about our national holidays and what I did.

After the Quimifonda, the party in the university about of the September 18th, i traveled to my house with my boyfriend; it was his birthday, because that I went to his house in the afternoon to the Saturday.

The next days I stay whit my family, in my house and in the house of my aunt.

Where my aunt we were all the family, aunts, cousins, parents and sister, how all national holidays lunch all together and the afternoon I out with my sister to the fondas, We eat and play in the various players together for example

throw the jars, throw darts and add and win, where win two teddies, that after we give away to the our little cousins, when we went to the aunt’s house our parents and cousins go the fondas too, that we decided return, but this time with our family.

I like so much this holidays, because the weather is great, and it remember me when I was a little children and I went to flied kites, or the big partys with the family when we eat much, I think that it is the happy party.

3. My favourite Movie

Hi everyone!

Today i will speak about a movie, the boss baby, it isn't my favourite movie, but i liked so much because the movie is an animation about a baby and a boy, and in the end the story is about a the baby ( now the little brother) comes home  and the relationship with the family members, i think that the movie remembered me when my  sister was born, other reason was that the movie is really fun and the characters are so, so, so adorable, besides it has a happy ending so you can add that to the lista of reasons

It was directed by tom mcgrath and bases at the boss baby of Mar la Frazee, it has two principal characters, the boss baby and Tim, plus his parents, the classic villian and other babies.

The is basically about a suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby that pairs up with his 7-year old brother to stop the dastardly plot of the CEO of Puppy Co.( the villain of the story) that wants to replace babies with a new kind of puppies.

2: The best Hollydays ever

Hi everyone,

Today I will tell you about of my best holydays…

It maybe other people is not consider a really holidays, but I yes do.

In the 2013, I course second of the high school, this year with my companies and teacher planner a travel to Pucón, Villarrica and other place that I don’t remember they names (it is the more south that I knew for the Chile). This holidays during for a week worthless.

I remember that with my friends went to the lake in every place because the principal place that we went over is near the lake, even the cabins are near to the lake and you only need cross the street. In the lake I learnt drive aqua bike and kayak. In the night we did a party all in a cabin.

Two years last, I went to Pucón again, but now with my new course, we traveled and stayed in the same place, but I think that I felt better and It was more funny.

I remember that went to in kayak with my friends for an hour and found a rock when park the kayak and we stared to swimming in the lake, I think that I never I feeling so free, after it we found a “island”, really it a part of the forest but very far to the people, where stopped for relax. 

I did like so much this travel or more good, the place, I want will know more to south and the little place. 

1: A country I would like to visit

Hi Everyone!!

I come again,

Today I will speak about a country that I would like visit, it is New Zeeland, I want know this country because I think that it is a country more civilised, and in the special I would prefer know the countries of this country, and the Hobbiton!

I would live there, and I would have a farm with mines animal and plant, I think that the life in more relax there that here in Chile and you can work in New Zeeland although you are a foreigner.

Something that I impression me is the in this country don use the siren of the car, because it is considerate how acoustic contamination, I think that it is an action very ecology, and I like so much.

Other country that I would like visit is Spain, because I think that there I can know about of our past how country cause the they colonise us and we acquired part of them culture. In this country I would like do part of my studies about biochemistry, principal for the language, I prefer start travel for a country where I know the language.

Final Blog...

Hi Everyone!

Today is the last blog for this semester, and I evaluation the experience for me to writing the blog.

I think that I never I writing a blog, or maybe yes, o yes when I was in six year of primary I had a blog of poems, but it so different to it blog,  sincerely I like the experience I feel that I learn so much and I think that the blogs were a different and interesting form to evaluation, I feel that I learned to use the all-time in English, it was anything that so difficult for me, also I feel that I learned more vocabulary writing and reading the blogs mine and the of my colleges.

I think that in the feature you or we can make the blog that include a song, in English, of course, and you have interpret the story of this, and the this form practice listening and writing, because, in the personal opinion I find the listening hard for me, I don’t know why, but for me in English It so difficult distinguish the sound.

Maybe I would like write a story create for us, or tell an anecdote of we life I think that it can be interesting and funny,  I think that all have a funny anecdote that you can share with the English class.

Ok... I think that it is the goodbye... or maybe not...

How do you see the future of 20 years?

Hello everyone

Today I will write as I believe it will be the future (in the year 2032)

I believe that the world could be a more egalitarian place, where capitalism has expanded and that is why alliances have been formed in all countries, favoring them economically, nevertheless I think this is very idealistic and by how things are now It is likely that alliances will continue to be broken.

As for our country, I would like to learn to understand in the area of economics more factors and not only copper as a source of income for the country and in this way the country grew, that salaries were more similar between university students and technicians , Or at least technical careers lower their costs so that more people had the opportunity to study and to emerge to be able to be a developed country.

In my personal life, I find myself living in a place far from the big cities, perhaps in another country or in the south of Chile, perhaps working in an own laboratory or some agricultural industry, and could be investigating pesticides or warming global.

hobbies

Hi Everyone!

Today I speak about of my hobbies but really I don’t have, however when I was a child I was practise swimming, Arabic dance and play music with a school band.

I think that swimming and Arabic dance was, probably, my favourites hobbies when I was child, even the past weekend I was timekeeper in a competition of swimming, it is a sport that I like now, but only see because I don’t have time for practise or it is an expensive sport.

Later, when I was in the high school I started practise tae kwon do, it is a contact sport, but I like it because it is the art martial which have the mysticism of Korean culture, and I practise like a military structure.

Today I don`t practise nothing of this, but I would like to try other sport or hobby.

Why did I choose this career?

Today I will speak about why I choose study biochemistry.

When I am course first grade of high school, I started interesting for the biology and chemistry, later, in second grade of high school I have laboratory of the chemistry and biology, in this place I was very happy, I liked do experiment and see what happened with it, and, however, It is very stranger for a student of the high school, but I liked make the reports of the laboratory.

This same year I know the organic chemistry that It make me think about the life it compounds of the chemistry and without it you and me don’t live.

Later I change of the high school because I want a more complete programme of study, and in this places apart of the PreU I knew the biochemistry of the career, incluse in the PreU I have a teacher that he is Biochemist who showed me this video that I love of this career.

A Subject you enjoy studying this semester

Hi Everyone!

Today I written about a subject I enjoy studying this semester, it is "Organic Chemistry 1" and "Laboratory of Organic Chemistry"  I was in love this chemistry when I course second of high school and studied the nomenclature of this compound, after this I understand that this compounds is the basic for the life. Today I like those courses because I want understand the life from the chemistry and the organic compound is the principal compound of the life, because it make the little and big organism.

In those course we studying organic compound, like for example alkane, alkene, alkine and them reaction with the inorganic compound, in "Organic Chemistry 1" you see it in form theoretical and in the "Laboratory of Organic Chemistry" you see it in form experimental.

Organic Chemistry 1: Here you can make exercises about the reaction, and learn about it, but before it you need learn how you name this organic compound and for this you study nomenclature.

Laboratory of Organic Chemistry: You see different reaction, for example you can make aspirin, that its real name is acetylsalicylic acid, for this you need salicylic acid and anhydride acetic in a acid means for the reaction occur, later this you have purified and recrystallize in acetate of ethyl. In this course I learn make TLC and read spectrum IR and RMN-H.

Today I will speak about my series and movies favourites…

I like so much see anime or read mangas, in my free time I try see anime or series of Netflix, today I see Shingeki no Kyojin, I see it anime when I course second of high school, today I see the second season, other animes that I like so much are Elfen Life, that I like so much its opening, I hope the second season, but the creators don’t do, and Chobits, it is a story of a chobits that has a twin sister (They are similar to robots, but they aren’t), in this story have a second story into it, it is so much intensive, I recommend you!

How I said you, today I see Series of Netflix too, some of them are Supernatural, I started see online about 2014, Bates Motel, I see some episodes in the Tv, 13 reason Why, Las chicas del Cable, Skins, I see it… many years ago, but today I see some of my favourites episodes, Criminal Minds, I started see this Serie a summer in the beach I started see in Spanish, but later I found in AXN, I liked the psychology that have this Serie, Dr. House, I see it whit my mother and sister, They like the medicine, Sherlock I started see with my sister, both love the actor, who acted in Doctor Stranger too, I Zombie, It serie I think it my favourite!, I started see whit my boyfriend, it is the perfect combination It have mystery and zombies!.

About Movies that I like… it maybe have less, here I leave you sometimes:
- “spring, summer, autumn, winter and spring again” is a movie that sample you the cycle’s life.

How you know I study biochemistry that is a science career, I am like so much all science and I read besides a National Geographic, that is a page that have science and history, is so curiosity you can read for example "Ancient Slingshot Was as Deadly as a 44 Magnum" and after you read "NASA Gets Lasts Close Look at This Earie Alien Moon", you can see videos too, or you can subscribe to the page and megazine, or you can see the TV and see very good reports.
I like see videos in youtube relationship with science even it video The Inner life of a cell inspired me for I study Biochemistry, it sample how function the inner of a cell and for example sample the proteins that translate vacuoles or organelles I see it video often.

Today I will tell you about Hernán Lara

He is a doctor of biochemistry of the Chile’s University, He was born in the VI Region of Chile and studied in the “Instituto O’higgins”, after he graduated he came to the Chile’s University in 1970 where he studied biochemistry, but in this moment he didn’t know if studying biochemistry or architecture, but he thought that they were so similar because “the architecture is pure creativity in the artist’s mind and the biochemistry is pure creativity, when you like it, is creativity of knowledge”, finally he studied biochemistry, because in this time, he read a newspaper about of a Italian investigator had done a big experiment, He had put Pigeon wings to a chicken. In the Faculty of chemistry and pharmaceutical studied his undergraduate and doctored his post doctored was done in the center of primates of Oregon, United States.

He has worked with the nervous system from his thesis of undergraduate, he always liked the nervous system, but what he likes the most is the interaction between hormones and neurons, thus he study Neuroendocrinology.

I admire he because when I speak with his said me that the career isn’t easy, but is a career beautiful when you like, he inspired me for continuous and not lost the objective in the sciences, because it career can create knowledge, but  for it you need be creative. I will see again in the physiology of system.

My favorite pices of tecnology

 Hi everyone!

Today I will speak about my favorite pieces of technology.

I think that the best pieces of technology are and were... the telephone and typing machine.

Because I think that here (or maybe it occured before) is the beginning for the communication, for example, if the telephone didn't exist today we would not have the smartphone or other form (that it's not the letter) of communication to long distances. Or the typing machine is the beginning for the computer for example.

Today it is very difficult to get it, because the technology is coming and the old thing are being forgotten.

The Twins!

    Hi Everyone!!

    Today I will comment about a photograph that I like so much, because it has its story.

 They are the Twins, when I was a little child I saw this show on tv, I liked it so much because their adventures were so funny. When I was in the first grade of secondary I was friends, that any people think that we were similar and one day Javi published this picture and said:

This picture maybe was taken by Diego or Valentina in the school, I don't remember, but I like it because here are the tree in the finish of the first semester in first grade of secondary.
Today practically I don't see, and I miss so much them.

Auto biographies

My name is Pamela Beatriz Fuentes Gamboa, I was born in the regional hospital of Rancagua, on November 15^th 1997; I was the first children for my parents.

When I was three years old I asked my mother to send me to the school, and she say “but you are very little”, however, that year, I started my studies.  I think that the 2001 was a very good year, because, I met new people and my little sister was born too. Her name is Margarita, She was born on August 28^th 2001, I remember that I was in class when the teacher told me that my sister had been born, after the class my father and me went to the mall and we bought a balloon for her.

During my firsts years of studies i knew very much activities that I like so much, for example, I participated in the orchestra and chorus of my school, after this I was Arabic dancing and team Dance, and I think that it was that I more liked.

Since I was 11 years old I started swimming in the summer, in the club that name is “Club Rancagua”, today I go more sporadically because I work in the summer in a “Persa” or in an Office as secretary.

I continued my studies in high school, IRE, when I knew fabulous people, and here participated in activities as theater and folklore, I remember a one presentation in special when I dancing only as a scary doll, I think that it was the best presentation on my life. In the finish second to the high school so many things happened; I started training Tae Kwon Do in “Ji-tae”, sport that I love until today, and in this school, “Ji-tae”, I knew my boyfriend. In this year I changed to the “Oscar Castro Zúñiga” High School because I wanted a better program of studies.

When I finished my studies in the high school, I came here, to the University of Chile, in Santiago, to study  Biochemistry. Today I am living in Santiago and travel to Rancagua for see my family and boyfriend.

I think that the expression to the idea is the more important for the human, because it do us human, how thinking be. However, in the pass it not a reality for their and the expression to the ideas was illegality, whit to pass the years it can possible and today you can express without problem, but i think that the children a regret that they can say their opinion i don´t think that the adults understand that their need play for they develop how human.
